Yagi Masayasu

Yagi Masayasu (八木将康) is a Japanese actor and singer managed by LDH JAPAN and signed to LDH Records. He is a member of the acting group GEKIDAN EXILE and a solo artist under the stage name CRAZY SHIKAKKEI.

Biography[]

Yagi was born on August 28, 1987 in Tomakomai city in Hokkaido, Japan. He is the youngest brother of EXILE/EXILE THE SECOND member SHOKICHI.

Yagi participated of the EXILE Presents VOCAL BATTLE AUDITION 2 ~Yume wo Motta Wakamono Tachi e~ in 2010 and ended as a finalist.[1]

In 2012, he joined GEKIDAN EXILE and made debut as an actor in August of the same year on the theatrical stage Attack No.1.[2]

On October 19, 2018, Yagi made his debut as a singer with the digital single "WANAWANA" under the stage name CRAZY SHIKAKKEI. The song was produced by ELLY and Tosaka Hiroomi.

Relationships

On August 29, 2019, Yagi announced his marriage to a 24-year old non-celebrity woman he had been dating for about 2 years and that they were expecting their first child to be born in January 2020.[3][4][5] On April 29, 2020, he revealed that his first son had been born safely.[6]

On July 15, 2022, Yagi announced that the couple's second child, a boy, had been born in May of the same year.[7][8][9]

Health

On July 9, 2020, it was reported that Yagi was diagnosed with COVID-19. On the night of July 5, Yagi's family member living with him was diagnosed with COVID-19. After that, Yagi stopped his activities and got a PCR test on July 6. He was diagnosed with COVID-19 on July 8. It was also revealed that he was not feeling any symptoms but he would carefully follow the instructions of the public health center and experts for a healthy recovery.[10][11] On August 3, he announced on his EXILE TRIBE mobile's blog page that he had recovered from COVID-19 and resumed his activities.
