WEESA |
Saiki Weesa (彩木瑋嗣), better known by his stage name WEESA, is a Japanese singer and performer. He is a member of the group PSYCHIC FEVER from EXILE TRIBE.
Early Life[]
Saiki Weesa was born on February 26, 2004, in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. His mother is Korean and his father is Moroccan.[1][2]
Influenced by his parents who loved Western music, he started listening to artists such as Bob Marley, The Beatles, and Nirvana from a young age.[3][4] Around the time he entered elementary school, he aspired to become an artist like Michael Jackson, and as a result, he started singing and dancing.[3] Besides being an artist, he also considered becoming a physical education teacher as he only had good grades in physical education.[5]
Looking back at his childhood, he revealed that he was a show-off. "Even at school events and in gym class, I would take the initiative and go out in front. I just wanted to stand out."[6]
In 2013, he participated in the GLOBAL JAPAN CHALLENGE in order to go to New York but failed. As a result, he started attending EXPG Nagoya.[7][8]
Career[]
2017[]
In December 2017, he was revealed as a member of EXPG Lab's project group Crasher kidz.[9]
2019[]
On July 4, he made his first appearance as a member of PSYCHIC FEVER at the BATTLE OF TOKYO ~ENTER THE Jr.EXILE~ live concert at Makuhari Messe.
On September 24, he was announced as an official member of the group.
2022[]
On July 13, he made his major debut in PSYCHIC FEVER with the release of their first studio album P.C.F.
In September, he was invited to the "MCHOICE 2022 | MINT AWARDS 2022" by Thai magazine Mint.
2023[]
On March 30, he graduated from EXPG High School.[10][11]
In September, he was invited to the "MCHOICE 2023 | MINT AWARDS 2023" alongside Kohatsu Kokoro.
2024[]
In March, he made his runway debut at the "38th MYNAVI TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION 2024 SPRING/SUMMER".

- Him and fellow group member JIMMY were born on the same day, 4 years apart.
- His biggest inspiration is Michael Jackson. He inspired him to become an artist.[7]
- According to his fellow members, he acts cool on stage, but is actually surprisingly cute, messy, innocent and mischievous.[14]
- According to Kohatsu Kokoro, he has a cute side to him and likes to be with others more than being alone, and would follow Kohatsu when he goes somewhere else. He would also have a wide variety of hobbies and interests, such as fashion, drawing, and movies.[15]
- Likes R&B, Hip-Hop and Rock.[7]
- Describes himself as "free".[7]
- Met fellow groupmate Kohatsu Kokoro for the first time at an audition when he was in fourth grade of elementary school.[16][4][15]
- According to both of them, they were a bit more outgoing back then, but have calmed down a bit after becoming adults. Additionally, when they used to practice together, they always ended up fighting.[17]
- Admires EXILE ATSUSHI and ELLY. "I've watched ATSUSHI on audition shows and YouTube for a long time, and I think he has a very stoic way of thinking about vocals, and I respect that. Also, I'm interested in apparel and various other things, so I admire ELLY because he is active in the game world and successful in various fields through his creativity."[18]
- If he didn't enter the entertainment industry, he would have become a designer.[16]
- Aspires to be active as a creative person (in the fields of art, music, fashion, etc.) and likes drawing pictures and making clothes.[3]
- In January 2024, he revealed that he would like to be involved in PSYCHIC FEVER's music production and that he love to write lyrics.[17]
- When it comes to movie, he doesn't have a specific genre he prefers. Some of his favorites are Trainspotting and Men in Black.[16]
- The first tour he participated in as a back dancer was Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS LIVE TOUR 2019 "RAISE THE FLAG".[7]
- Often goes out when he has days off, for example for dinner with the members.[19]
- Likes to do strength training and also stretches every day. He sometimes gets advice on how to work out from Kohatsu Kokoro, who loves muscle training.[20]
- Considers South Korea as another home country.[21]
- Is currently learning Korean.
- According to himself, he doesn't adhere to any particular language and just wants to use his own pronunciation and speaking habits when it comes to singing.[22]
- Wants to visit every country in the world.[23]
- Doesn't like mayonnaise.[24]
