Takahashi Tsurugi (髙橋剣), better known by the stage name Tsurugi (剣), is a Japanese performer and rapper. He is a member of the group PSYCHIC FEVER from EXILE TRIBE.

Before his official debut, he was also a member of the performance team from Imaichi Ryuji.

Early Life

Takahashi Tsurugi was born on April 9, 1997, in the countryside of Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. He has an older brother.

At the age of 3, he started practicing karate alongside his older brother. However, he "wanted to be popular" and "longed for the glittering world", so he entered EXPG Osaka when he was in the 6th grade of elementary school.

Career

2014

In 2014, he participated in the PERFORMER BATTLE AUDITION but failed. As a result, he was introduced as a member of the trainee group EXILE GENERATIONS in the same year.

2018

On June 7, he was revealed as an EXPG Pro student, starting his career as a professional dancer. Soon after, he received an offer to join an upcoming group from LDH.

2019

On July 4, he made his first appearance as a member of PSYCHIC FEVER at the BATTLE OF TOKYO ~ENTER THE Jr.EXILE~ live concert at Makuhari Messe.

On September 24, he was announced as an official member of the group.

2022

On July 13, he made his major debut in PSYCHIC FEVER with the release of their first studio album P.C.F. At the same time, he started using his first name written in Kanji, "Tsurugi" (剣), as his stage name. Looking back at the time he entered EXPG until his debut, he later recalled: "During my years at EXPG I received several offers to join a group, but they never materialized, and as I continued for a long time, I lost the "sense of being needed". [...]. When I decided to go solo as a dancer and started my career, I was immediately asked to join PSYCHIC FEVER, which made me realize how important it is to show my will as an artist."
