Tasaki Takahiro (田﨑敬浩), better known by his stage name TAKAHIRO, is a vocalist and actor. He is a member of the group EXILE and the band ACE OF SPADES.
He passed the EXILE VOCAL BATTLE AUDITION 2006 ~ASIAN DREAM~ as the sole winner in 2006 and was selected as a new vocalist of EXILE.
Tasaki made his debut as a soloist in June 2013 with the single "Issen Ichibyou" under the stage name EXILE TAKAHIRO.
Early Life[]
Tasaki Takahiro was born on December 8, 1984 in Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan.[1]
After finishing school, he worked as a hairdresser.[2] Tasaki started aspiring to become a singer under the influence of his father, who loved to sing.[3]
Career[]
Debut[]
He became a big fan of EXILE when he and his friends attended EXILE's 2005 concert. He decided to join the EXILE VOCAL BATTLE AUDITION 2006 ~ASIAN DREAM~ and became the final winner of the audition, held at Nippon Budokan on September 22, 2006. After he won, he eventually became the new vocalist of EXILE alongside original member ATSUSHI.
The addition of Tasaki to the group was considered EXILE's second era. After he joined, he was given the stage name of TAKAHIRO and the group went on to release 3 singles and an album to allow fans, new and old, to adapt to the "new" EXILE. They held their tour EXILE LIVE TOUR 2007 EXILE EVOLUTION during May 2007 to further promote the new image of their group. The tour ended at Tokyo Dome on August 5, 2007.
2013-2015[]
On June 26, 2013, he made a solo debut with the single "Issen Ichibyou".
On March 5, 2014, he released his second solo single "Love Story".
On September 23, 2015, TAKAHIRO released his first solo album the VISIONALUX.
2017[]
On October 4, he released his third solo single "Eternal Love". It is his first solo release in two years since his first album.
On December 6, he released his first mini-album All-The-Time Memories.
2020[]
On September 28, TAKAHIRO released a cover of the EXILE song "Unmei no Hito" digitally as part of the project EXILE RESPECT. EXILE RESPECT is a series of solo covers of EXILE songs as a celebration of TAKAHIRO's 15th anniversary since joining the group.[4]
On December 21, he released a cover of EXILE's song "Heavenly White" as a digital single.
2021[]
On April 24, he released a cover of EXILE's song "Lovers Again" as a digital single.
On August 9, he released a cover of EXILE's song "Yasashii Hikari" as a digital single.
On December 24, he released a cover of EXILE's song "I Believe" as a digital single.
2022[]
On September 22, TAKAHIRO revealed an unreleased song titled "Chance" in dedication to member Kuroki Keiji as a surprise gift prior to Kuroki's graduation from EXILE and retirement from the entertainment industry. The song was produced by TAKAHIRO as one of the examination songs of Kuroki's project THE NINE WORLDS Kyushu Star Hakkutsu Audition, which was planned to be held in 2020 but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[5][6] The song was later released on his second album EXPLORE in 2023.
To coincide with the opening of the Nishi-Kyushu Shinkansen on September 23, TAKAHIRO designed the KiHa 47 type train (2 cars per formation) for the conventional line running in Saga and Nagasaki prefecture. The name of this project was "Choo Choo Nishi Kyushu TRAIN" (Choo Choo 西九州 TRAIN), and TAKAHIRO's designs were painted on the cars by elementary school students along the line. The train would be in service mainly between Kohoku Station (former Hizen-Yamaguchi Station) and Isahaya Station on the Nagasaki Main Line.
On November 22, he released a cover of EXILE's song "Michi" as a digital single.[7][8][9]
2023[]
From April 13 to June 18, he held his first solo live tour EXILE TAKAHIRO LIVE TOUR "TAKAHIRO Michi no Eki 2023" ~Road to EXPLORE~.[10]
On September 6, he released his second album EXPLORE. Ahead to the release, he pre-released the song "Spotlight ~Hikari no Saki e~" digitally on April 3.[11]
On September 13, TAKAHIRO launched the fragrance brand bgm together with Fits Corporation. The name of the brand comes from the idea to create a "fragrance" that blends into people's lives like background music.[12][13][14]
On September 21, he held the special concert EXILE TAKAHIRO BUDOKAN LIVE 2023 "EXPLORE".[15][16]
On December 3, he appeared as a guest at the annual year-end concert "SUNTORY Presents Beethoven's 9th with a Cast of 10,000".[17][18]
On December 26, he held the year-end concert EXILE TAKAHIRO CHRISTMAS LIVE 2023 ~EXPLORE~ Bounenkai.[19]
2024[]
On March 22, a realistic reproduction of the "Choo Choo Nishi Kyushu TRAIN" project train on the Nagasaki Main Line designed by TAKAHIRO started being sold as an N-gauge model train (scale: 1/150) titled "JR KiHa 47 8000 Type Diesel Car (Choo Choo Nishi Kyushu TRAIN) Set" (JRキハ47 8000形ディーゼルカー(Choo Choo 西九州 TRAIN)セット) at Tomytec.[20]
On April 10, he released the digital album WILD & FREE which was produced in conjunction with his second solo live tour.[21][22]
From April 17 to May 26, he held his second solo live tour EXILE TAKAHIRO LIVE TOUR 2024 "FULL THROTTLE".[23][24]
On September 21 and 22, he held the special concert EXILE TAKAHIRO BUDOKAN LIVE 2024 "GLORY".[25]
On September 23, he released the digital single "DESTINY".[26]
On December 5, he released the digital single "Winter Song".[27]
On December 24, he will hold the year-end concert EXILE TAKAHIRO CHRISTMAS LIVE 2024 "Winter Song" ～Love～.[28]
2025[]
On February 19, he will release footage of his previous lives in a double simultaneous release, as well as in a special box titled EXILE TAKAHIRO LIVE 2024 SPECIAL BOX.[29]
Personal Life[]
- Relationships
On September 1, 2017, TAKAHIRO announced his marriage with actress Takei Emi, and that Takei was currently three months pregnant with their first child and would be expected to give birth next spring. The two had co-starred and become friends on the set of the TV drama Senryokugai Sosakan that aired in early 2014, and their relationship developed when they met again in a special edition of the same drama that aired the following year in 2015.[30][31][32][33] When weekly magazines reported on their dating rumors in April 2015, both initially denied their relationship.[34]
On March 12, 2018, they announced the birth of their first child, a girl. The exact date of the birth was undisclosed due to the wishes of the couple.[35][36]
On March 26, 2022, the couple announced the birth of their second child, a girl.[37][38][39][40][41]

- During the EXILE TRIBE PERFECT YEAR LIVE TOUR TOWER OF WISH 2014 ~THE REVOLUTION~ he suffered from nodules on his vocal cords.[42]
- According to himself, he never gets used to standing on stage, and it feels fresh every time he does.[43]
- Describes himself as "the type of person who forgets unpleasant things".[42]
- According to himself, there was a long time period in his career when he was in a slump because he disliked his singing voice and considered it as "weak", to the point he once contemplated quitting.[3]

- Has been interested in perfume since he was a child because his family owned a beauty salon and his mother also liked fragrances. One day she found out, and my mother gave me her perfume as a gift. I used it until I graduated from high school."[45]
