Sorematsu Kensuke (夫松 健介) is a Japanese singer and performer. He is the leader of the group KID PHENOMENON from EXILE TRIBE.

Early Life[]

Sorematsu Kensuke was born on July 29, 2003 in Osaka Prefecture, Japan.

He started dancing at the age of 4.[1]

In his childhood, he started attending EXPG Osaka.

Career[]

2021-2022[]

In March 2021, he formed the EXPG TikTok team "Billi-Kane" together with other students from EXPG Osaka, including Iwaki Sena and Yamamoto Kouta.

In June 2021, he was introduced as a student of EXPG Lab.[2][3]

From 2021 to 2022, he participated in the boys division of the audition iCON Z ~Dreams For Children~ and was selected as a member of the teams CROONERZ and Z FACTION during the screening process. From the two teams, only CROONERZ made it to the final screening on May 21, 2022, where they were ultimately eliminated and disbanded.[1]

He later revealed that he went for the audition as his last chance to debut as an artist.[1]

2022[]

On July 23, at the third concert of BATTLE OF TOKYO TIME 4 Jr.EXILE titled BATTLE OF iCON Z, it was announced that he would participate in the second chapter of LDH's audition iCON Z ~Dreams For Children~ as one of 13 finalists of the first chapter.[4][5][6]

During the audition, the contestants formed three different groups in order to compete for an imminent debut. On the November 13 episode of ~Yume no Audition Variety~ Dreamer Z, it was revealed that Sorematsu was placed in Group 2.[7] On the November 20 episode, it was revealed that the group would be named KID PHENOMENON.[8]

2023[]

On March 26, it was announced that KID PHENOMENON would be making their major debut under Sony Music Associated Records on August 23 along with the other two groups of the audition.[9]

On August 23, Sorematsu will make his major debut as a member of KID PHENOMENON with the release of the group's first single "Wheelie".

  • Close with fellow KID PHENOMENON member Yamamoto Kota since they went to EXPG Osaka together and were part of the same EXPG TikTok team. During the iCON Z audition, they took the bullet train to and from Tokyo and Osaka together.[15]
