Sato Hinata |
Sato Hinata (佐藤 陽) is a Japanese performer and rapper. He is a member of the group THE JET BOY BANGERZ from EXILE TRIBE.
He is also a member of the dance crew "SEGA SAMMY LUX" which competes in Japan's D.LEAGUE.
Early Life[]
Sato Hinata was born on March 10, 2005 in Osaka Prefecture, Japan.
Inspired by EXILE, he started dancing in Taiwan and remained there until March 2016, in 5th grade of elementary school, attending EXPG Taipei, working extensively as a support dancer for Hong Kong artists and becoming a runner-up in the DANCE@LIVE WORLD CUP KIDS division.[1][2][3][4]
In Japan, he also worked as a support dancer for EXILE and Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS, and performed in many dance battles and showcases, gaining skills and experience.
In his childhood, he transferred from EXPG Taipei to EXPG Osaka.
Career[]
2020[]
In August 2020, Sato was introduced as a student of EXPG Lab. At the same time, it was announced that he had joined the dance crew "SEGA SAMMY LUX", one of the teams competing in D.LEAGUE, Japan's first professional dance league, which would start in January 2021.[5][6] While being the youngest competitor in the league at the age of 15, he moved from Osaka to Tokyo alone, with his mother supporting him by sending money from their hometown.[7]
2022[]
On July 23, at the third concert of BATTLE OF TOKYO TIME 4 Jr.EXILE titled BATTLE OF iCON Z, it was announced that he would participate in the second chapter of LDH's audition iCON Z ~Dreams For Children~ as one of 5 professional dancers from D.LEAGUE, Japan's first official dance league.[8][9][10]
During the audition, the contestants formed three different groups in order to compete for an imminent debut. On the November 13 episode of ~Yume no Audition Variety~ Dreamer Z, it was revealed that Sato was placed in Group 3.[11] On the November 20 episode, it was revealed that the group would be named THE JET BOY BANGERZ.[12]
2023[]
On March 26, it was announced that THE JET BOY BANGERZ would be making their major debut under Sony Music Associated Records on August 23 along with the other two groups of the audition.[13]
On August 23, Sato made his major debut as a member of THE JET BOY BANGERZ with the release of the group's first single "Jettin'".
