Okao Kohaku (岡尾 琥珀) is a Japanese rapper and performer. He is a member of the group KID PHENOMENON from EXILE TRIBE.
Early Life[]
Okao Kohaku was born on December 18, 2005 in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. He has a younger brother.
In his childhood, he started attending EXPG Kyoto.
Career[]
2021-2022[]
In March 2021, he formed the EXPG TikTok team "4OXY" together with other students from EXPG Kyoto, including his brother Okao Matora.
From 2021 to 2022, he participated in the boys division of the audition iCON Z ~Dreams For Children~ and was selected as a member of the team KIDMATIC during the screening process. KIDMATIC made it to the final screening on May 21, 2022, where they were ultimately eliminated and disbanded.[1]
2022[]
On July 23, at the third concert of BATTLE OF TOKYO TIME 4 Jr.EXILE titled BATTLE OF iCON Z, it was announced that he would participate in the second chapter of LDH's audition iCON Z ~Dreams For Children~ as one of 13 finalists of the first chapter.[2][3][4]
During the audition, the contestants formed three different groups in order to compete for an imminent debut. On the November 13 episode of ~Yume no Audition Variety~ Dreamer Z, it was revealed that Okao was placed in Group 2.[5] On the November 20 episode, it was revealed that the group would be named KID PHENOMENON.[6]
2023[]
On March 26, it was announced that KID PHENOMENON would be making their major debut under Sony Music Associated Records on August 23 along with the other two groups of the audition.[7]
On August 23, Okao will make his major debut as a member of KID PHENOMENON with the release of the group's first single "Wheelie".
Personal Life[]

His younger brother, Okao Matora, was also a student at EXPG Kyoto and a finalist of the iCON Z ~Dreams For Children~ audition. He was part of the rival team LIL LEAGUE that was chosen as the winner of the first chapter of the iCON Z audition.[8]

- In terms of dance genres, he specializes in hip-hop, but can dance any style.[8]
- Describes himself as noisy, high-spirited and single-minded.[9]
- According to himself, he is the "funny one"/"mood maker" in the group and often asked to make jokes by the members. "I usually do whatever they ask me to do, and I am not ashamed of it, I think I have a mentality of steel when it comes to jokes."[10][8]
- According to himself, he used to be bad at smiling, and it was one of his complexes. But during the audition process, people around him started complimenting his smile, and he gradually became more confident. Now he considers his smile as his charm point.[9]
- Wants to be active as an artist, actor, and variety entertainer.[9]
- Likes rappers like R-Shitei of Creepy Nuts who can express various flows (rapping styles).[11]
- An indoor person.[12]
- Admires "a strong person who never shows weakness".[9]
- Was the last one of the members to start doing beauty treatments and initially had no interest in it at all. He had never worn makeup or done skin care during the first chapter of iCON Z, and only started around the latter half of the second chapter as his skin became worse.[13]
