Nakatsuka Yuta (中務裕太) is a Japanese performer, choreographer and dance instructor. He is a member of the group GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE.
He was added to the group after being selected by HIRO during an EXPG audition.
Besides his activities in the entertainment industry, he is the current president of EXPG High School.
Early Life[]
Nakatsuka Yuta was born on January 7, 1993, in Osaka, Japan.
At the age of 16, he started attending EXPG Osaka.[1]
Career[]
2012[]
Around 2012, Nakatsuka started working as a dance instructor at EXPG Osaka.[2]
On September 11, it was announced that he would be added as an official member to pre-debut group GENERATIONS.[3]
2020[]
In an online press conference on August 14 by expg and Kadokawa Dwango Gakuen, it was announced that Nakatsuka would serve as the special advisor for the collaborative initiative "N High School Dance Club", N High School's first athletic club.[4]
2024[]
On January 25, it was announced in a press conference to commemorate the opening of EXPG Funabashi that Nakatsuka had been appointed as the new (second) president of EXPG High School (starting from the new term in April), taking over the position from TETSUYA who had served as the first president since its founding.[5][1][6] According to TETSUYA, he wanted Nakatsuka to become his successor when he were to step down as president, since Nakatsuka showed great enthusiasm and visited EXPG High School many times, giving special lectures, lessons, and filming TikTok videos with students. Nakatsuka himself revealed that he had never dreamed or even joked that he would become the president of a school in his life, and that he wanted to be a president who is easy for students to talk to and close to everyone, and support them in their dreams, whether their dream would be becoming an artist or not. His goal would be to encourage more students to enter the world of dance.[7][8]
In April, he collaborated with Akabu Shuzo in Iwate Prefecture on the release of a collaboration sake titled "AKABU Nakatsuka Junmai Daiginjou" (AKABU 中務 純米大吟醸).[9]
On May 11, a GENERATIONS fanclub limited solo member event titled GENERATIONS OFFICIAL FAN CLUB EVENT "Nakatsu-kai" will be held for fans to sample the collaboration sake "AKABU Nakatsuka Junmai Daiginjou" with Akabu Sake Brewery.[10]
