Kamiya Kenta (神谷健太) is a Japanese performer, rapper, singer and actor. He is a member of the groups THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE and MA55IVE THE RAMPAGE.
He participated in the EXILE PERFORMER BATTLE AUDITION but didn't made to the finals.
Early Life[]
Kamiya Kenta was born on May 27, 1995, in Naha, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan.[1]
Kamiya entered the entertainment industry early in his life by being a child actor. "I've always liked standing in front of people and using my body to tell them something."[2][3] He starred in the films Ryukyu Cowboy Yoroshiku Gozaimasu[4] (2007) and Nirai no Oka ~A Song of Gondola~ (2010).[5][6] Since Nirai no Oka ~A Song of Gondola~ was screened at the Okinawa International Movie Festival, Kamiya stood on its stage to greet the audience when he was only 14 years old.[7]
However, he had also dreamed of becoming a member of EXILE since he saw the DVD of EXILE LIVE TOUR 2007 EXILE EVOLUTION at the time he was in elementary school. When an EXPG branch opened in Okinawa in 2010, his third year of junior high school, he quit his acting career and entered the school as a scholarship vocal student.[7][1]
After graduating from Kamihara Junior High School, he attended Oroku High School. He chose the high school because of the the advice of his seniors from his hometown and its school culture that supported student (club) activities. In junior high school, he spent his days playing soccer, but in high school he decided to concentrate on his lessons at school. After class, he went to EXPG and trained singing and dancing. However, he often had to take time off from school to participate in tours on the mainland for EXPG's activities. "I liked math and science classes, but if I missed one math class, I wouldn't know what to do in the next class. When my homeroom teacher found out that I was going to miss a class, they kindly supported me by giving me a handout summarizing the content of the class ahead of time." During his high school years, when he had vague fears about the future, casual conversations with his friends became a source of emotional support. Additionally, seeing them working hard at their club activities gave him the motivation to seize opportunities.[1]

2013[]
In 2013, he was introduced as a member of the trainee group EXILE GENERATIONS.
2014[]
In 2014, he graduated from Oroku High School.[1]
In March, with only 3 years of dancing experience, he participated in the EXILE PERFORMER BATTLE AUDITION but didn't make it to the finals.[8][9]
In April, Kamiya was announced as a candidate for EXILE TRIBE's upcoming group THE RAMPAGE, and on September 12 of the same year, he became an official member after completing the group's first musha shugyo.[10][7]
2017[]
On January 25, Kamiya made his major debut in THE RAMPAGE with the release of the group's first single "Lightning".
2019[]
During THE RAMPAGE LIVE TOUR 2019 "THROW YA FIST", Kamiya was introduced as a member of the group's first sub-unit alongside 4 other performers. In this sub-unit he takes on the position of a vocalist and rapper, marking the first time he would provide his vocals to any work of THE RAMPAGE. He had gotten interested in rapping when he saw the other members perform as a Hip-Hop unit during THE RAMPAGE LIVE TOUR 2017-2018 "GO ON THE RAMPAGE".[7] The quintet made their official debut as MA55IVE THE RAMPAGE with the digital song "Determined" on February 6, 2020.[11]
2021[]
In January, Kamiya resumed his acting career by playing one of the main roles in the TV drama 3B no Koibito, making it his first appearance in a serial drama and his first acting role in 8 years.[12]

- He has a childhood friendship with fellow group mate Yonamine Rui, Yonashiro Sho from J-Pop group JO1 and model Ryucheru/Ryuchell since elementary school.[16][7]
- Him and Yonamine Rui together are called the "Haisai Duo" or "Haisai Combi". They are from the same hometown and the first students from EXPG Okinawa to join LDH.[7]
- His favorite food is dumplings/gyoza (餃子), which he often cooks himself.[17][7]
- Described as a mysterious and quiet person. He says about himself: "I'm not a loner, but I'm a free spirit and have my own pace". However, he also has a playful side characterized by strange moves, peculiar laughter, and eccentric worldview.[7]
- According to himself, he is the type of person who is indifferent to most things in his private life, but when it comes to work, he tends to say out loud what he thinks.[18]
- According to Yoshino Hokuto, he is easy to understand when it comes to his feelings and has a side of him that is just as cute as a schoolboy.[19]
- According to his fellow members, he is sensitive to communication and often makes presentations to the staff to realize ideas discussed during chats among the members.[20]

- In 2017, at the start of the group's first solo tour THE RAMPAGE LIVE TOUR 2017-2018 "GO ON THE RAMPAGE", he launched a video corner called "The Two Who Can't Talk" (しゃべれない2人) together with Fujiwara Itsuki in order to improve their talking skills.[7]
- On his days off, he likes to go out and visit busy places, especially spaces full of families like malls and department stores on holidays since he entered the entertainment industry right after graduating from high school and didn't have much time to spend with his family.[21]
- According to himself, he is the kind of person who doesn't usually buy clothes and always dresses as comfortably as possible.[21]
- His favorite part of himself is the shape of his eyebrows.[22]
- His favorite movie is Grease since it often played at his home in his childhood.[22]

- Likes the manga Kimetsu no Yaiba and The Promised Neverland. However, he strongly disliked anime until 2021.[22]
