Ishikawa Kota (石川 晃多) is a Japanese singer and performer. He is a member of the group THE JET BOY BANGERZ from EXILE TRIBE.
Early Life[]
Ishikawa Kota was born on May 31, 2001 in Chiba Prefecture, Japan.
He began attending vocal lessons while working part-time.[1]
Career[]
2021-2022[]
From 2021 to 2022, he participated in the boys division of the audition iCON Z ~Dreams For Children~ and was selected as a member of the team CROONERZ during the screening process. CROONERZ made it to the final screening on May 21, 2022, where they were ultimately eliminated and disbanded.[2]
2022[]
On July 23, at the third concert of BATTLE OF TOKYO TIME 4 Jr.EXILE titled BATTLE OF iCON Z, it was announced that he would participate in the second chapter of LDH's audition iCON Z ~Dreams For Children~ as one of 13 finalists of the first chapter.[3][4][5]
During the audition, the contestants formed three different groups in order to compete for an imminent debut. On the November 13 episode of ~Yume no Audition Variety~ Dreamer Z, it was revealed that Ishikawa was placed in Group 3.[6] On the November 20 episode, it was revealed that the group would be named THE JET BOY BANGERZ.[7]
2023[]
On March 26, it was announced that THE JET BOY BANGERZ would be making their major debut under Sony Music Associated Records on August 23 along with the other two groups of the audition.[8]
On August 23, Ishikawa made his major debut as a member of THE JET BOY BANGERZ with the release of the group's first single "Jettin'".
Trivia[]
- Has a slightly melancholy voice and is confident in his falsetto.[9]
- Started dancing when he auditioned for iCON Z, and had no experience in that field before that. After he became a member of THE JET BOY BANGERZ, his attitude toward dancing changed and he started to enjoy it.[9]
- According to Uhara Yuhi, he is very cheerful, always smiling and the type of person who enjoys everything, no matter how hard the situation is. He may look soft and fluffy, but he would be surprisingly strong. Additionally, he would love food and always be eating sweets in the dressing room.[11]
- Has always loved anime and is very interested in voice acting, so he would like to try his hand at voice acting for anime and dubbing for foreign films. Additionally, one of his dreams is to sing an anime theme song as a member of THE JET BOY BANGERZ.[10][11]
- Has been playing badminton for about 6 years.[10]
- Would like to do beauty work in the future.[10]
- Admires Kawamura Kazuma. Kawamura is the person who inspired him to enter the entertainment world.[10]
- An outdoor person.[10]
- Likes gourmet food.[10]
