HiGH&LOW THE MOVIE 2 END OF SKY - Character Overview

Character Overview

HiGH&LOW THE MOVIE 2 / END OF SKY is the third original movie of the HiGH&LOW franchise featuring the EXILE TRIBE. It was released on August 19, 2017 in theaters in Japan.

On February 21, 2018, the movie was released on DVD and Blu-ray.

Description[]

The SWORD District. The area was called after the initials of each of the five competing teams: "Sannoh Rengokai", "White Rascals", "Oya Kohkoh", "RUDE BOYS" and "Daruma Ikka". The disparate SWORD members narrowly won the "Battle of Container Town" against the Gulf Coast Alliance led by Kohaku (AKIRA), the leader of the legendary "MUGEN" gang. The town had regained a brief moment of peace.

Nevertheless, the Kuryu Group's casino project has not disappeared, and Cobra (Iwata Takanori), the leader of Sannoh Rengokai, gathers the leaders of each gang to propose a "SWORD Agreement" to defend themselves against Kuryu. However, the RUDE BOYS, lacking their leader Smokey (Kubota Masataka) due to illness, reserve their decision, saying "We are more important to live for tomorrow." ROCKY (Kuroki Keiji) of the White Rascals also rejects the proposal, saying "We only need to protect our women", and the negotiations break down. ROCKY has his own reasons for rejecting the agreement: he has information that Hayashi Ranmaru (Nakamura Aoi), the "mad dog" who leads "DOUBT", a notorious scouting group that opposes White Rascals, is coming out of prison. He was more afraid than anything else that the fight would reignite due to past causes and spark off other gangs...... As expected, Ranmaru, who believes in nothing but money and power, raids White Rascals' territory as soon as he is released from prison. Not only that, he also calls in Jesse (NAOTO), the reigning "absolute champion" in prison, and the "PRISON GANG" with members such as Pho (Sekiguchi Mandy) with DOUBT's abundant financial power, and together they try to bring the entire SWORD district under their control with their overwhelming fighting power. The White Rascals are shattered before their offensive. Cobra tries to offer a hand to the wounded ROCKY, but he is unable to comply, saying, "As long as you can stand by yourself, you have to stand on your own two feet."

Meanwhile, another battle over the casino construction project is also being waged. The key is a USB memory stick containing evidence of collusion between the Kuryu Group and politicians. The Amamiya brothers, Masaki (TAKAHIRO) and Hiroto (Tosaka Hiroomi), have entrusted this data, which their older brother Takeru (Saitoh Takumi) took in exchange for his life, to Kohaku, with whom they once fought a fierce battle. Kohaku, who had lost sight of himself in revenge for the murder of his best friend Tatsuya (Iura Arata) and had been a pawn in Chanson's SWORD invasion plan, decided that he did not want to make the same mistake again. Together with his partner Tsukumo (Aoyagi Sho), they proceed with preparations for the scandal to be made public. However, Kuryu is also aware of this information. If the collusion is revealed, the group itself will be on the verge of collapse, so they send Kuki Genji (Kobayashi Naoki), the young head of "Kurosaki-kai", to assassinate the two.

At the same time, ROCKY goes to the battlefield to settle the score with the DOUBT and PRISON GANG allied forces, and the White Rascals find themselves in a desperate situation with an overwhelming difference in power... Then, Cobra and his SWORD comrades appear, determined to fight for their friends and the town. As their thoughts and feelings intersect, the greatest battle for the future begins. What awaits them at the end of it all: hope or despair?
