The song is SHOKICHI's third release under the stage name "SHO HENDRIX".
The song expresses nostalgia for SHOKICHI's hometown of Hokkaido, which was called Emishi in ancient times, and his feelings for his late grandmother. The lyrics include references to his roots, such as the castle town of Matsumae in southern Hokkaido and the city of Hakodate, Hanazono.[1][3]
The song was born out of a session with guitarist Yamaki Shohei, with whom SHOKICHI had an exchange when he returned to his hometown.[1]
