EXILE TRIBE is the name given to the collective of male artists from LDH JAPAN which are related to the agency's main group, EXILE. The concept was first explored in 2004 with the creation of EXILES.

The EXILE TRIBE brand was introduced in June 2011 with the live tour EXILE TRIBE Nidaime J Soul Brothers VS Sandaime J Soul Brothers Live Tour 2011 ~Keishou~.[1]

History[]

2011[]

The term EXILE TRIBE was first used for the tour EXILE TRIBE Nidaime J Soul Brothers VS Sandaime J Soul Brothers Live Tour 2011 ~Keishou~ in June 2011, establishing the two axes of the collective to be EXILE as well as J Soul Brothers, with each group being directly related to the other.[1][3]

2012[]

One year later, in April 2012, the EXILE TRIBE LIVE TOUR 2012 ~TOWER OF WISH~ concert tour was held featuring EXILE, Nidaime J Soul Brothers and Sandaime J Soul Brothers.

In September 2012, an unit featuring EXILE and Sandaime J Soul Brothers released the single "24karats TRIBE OF GOLD" as EXILE TRIBE, being the debut release of the collective.

2013[]

On January 30, GENERATIONS officially joined EXILE TRIBE with the release of their second single "ANIMAL". Starting from this date, the group was named GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE.

On April 24, Sandaime J Soul Brothers changed their group name to Sandaime J Soul Brothers from EXILE TRIBE with the release of their ninth single "SPARK".

On September 10, EXILE TRIBE released their 2nd single "BURNING UP", which features a "battle" collaboration between the groups Sandaime J Soul Brothers and GENERATIONS.

2014[]

In January 2014, LDH started the EXILE TRIBE PERFECT YEAR 2014, with releases as EXILE TRIBE and from the groups on it, and a Dome tour around Japan during the year.

On September 20, EXILE TRIBE released their third single titled "THE REVOLUTION", including members from groups EXILE, Sandaime J Soul Brothers and GENERATIONS on its line-up. A week later the same line-up released the album EXILE TRIBE REVOLUTION. Both single and album reached the #1 position on Oricon weekly chart.[4]

From September to December, all groups related to EXILE TRIBE participated in the dome tour EXILE TRIBE PERFECT YEAR LIVE TOUR TOWER OF WISH 2014 ~THE REVOLUTION~.

2015-2016[]

On October 22, members part of EXILE TRIBE starred in the TV drama HiGH&LOW ~THE STORY OF S.W.O.R.D.~, introducing the HiGH&LOW franchise produced by EXILE HIRO. The groups also participated on the soundtrack of the drama, which was released on June 15, 2016.

2017[]

On January 25, THE RAMPAGE made their major debut with the single "Lightning", officially joining EXILE TRIBE.

2018[]

On September 15, FANTASTICS was announced as an EXILE TRIBE group, officially joining the collective on December 5 after their major debut with the single "OVER DRIVE".[5]

2019[]

Sometime in 2019, EXILE AKIRA was appointed as the leader of EXILE TRIBE.[6]

On March 31, BALLISTIK BOYZ was announced as an EXILE TRIBE group, officially joining the collective on May 22 with the release of their major debut album.[7]

On April 20, the formation of a new comprehensive group called "Jr.EXILE" with the same form as EXILE TRIBE was announced. The unit would be made up of GENERATIONS, THE RAMPAGE, FANTASTICS and BALLISTIK BOYZ, whose members were inspired by EXILE to follow their dreams and become artists. At the same time, the project BATTLE OF TOKYO was announced.[8]

2022[]

On July 13, PSYCHIC FEVER officially joined EXILE TRIBE after their major debut with the studio album P.C.F.

On October 31, Kuroki Keiji graduated from EXILE and EXILE THE SECOND and retired from the entertainment industry, subsequently also leaving EXILE TRIBE.

2023[]

On January 11, LIL LEAGUE officially joined the collective after their major debut with the single "Hunter".

On May 10, it was announced that the four boy groups born from the audition iCON Z ~Dreams For Children~, LIL LEAGUE, KID PHENOMENON, THE JET BOY BANGERZ and WOLF HOWL HARMONY, would be classified as "NEO EXILE", a new generation of EXILE TRIBE.[3]

On August 23, KID PHENOMENON, THE JET BOY BANGERZ and WOLF HOWL HARMONY officially joined the collective after their major debut.

On December 31, Suzuki Nobuyuki officially graduated from GEKIDAN EXILE and also subsequently from EXILE TRIBE.[9]

2024[]

On February 29, Akiyama Shintaro officially graduated from GEKIDAN EXILE and departed from LDH JAPAN, subsequently also leaving the EXILE TRIBE.

On June 25, Sekiguchi Mandy officially graduated from GENERATIONS and EXILE and departed from LDH JAPAN, subsequently also leaving EXILE TRIBE.

On September 27, EXILE TRIBE released the song "AKANEGUMO" as a digital single. For this release, the NEO EXILE groups does not participate.[10]

On October 26 and 27, all groups related to EXILE TRIBE participated in the concert LDH LIVE-EXPO 2024 -EXILE TRIBE BEST HITS-.
